Your manager has just allocated you a unit of competency from the Victorian EAL Framework. What do you do next? Following on from Session 1 on unpacking the curriculum and the structure of a unit and Session 2 on designing a whole program, this session will focus on what happens in the classroom. Come and learn from your peers about good practice teaching, how to sequence and scaffold learning for a unit, how to embed required knowledge and skills in topics and activities, how to select suitable resources, how to avoid re-inventing the wheel, and how to design lessons that are engaging and relevant.
