Metacognition and EAL Teaching
17 September 2024. 4:30pm – 5:30pm AEST, Online
Research has shown that EAL students benefit the most when engaged in metacognitive thinking. This can only be possible when teachers are aware of metacognitive teaching and learning strategies. In this presentation, we look at what we already know about metacognition and metacognitive teaching and learning strategies. We also discuss how these can be implemented in our teaching and reflection cycles.
