This session is designed for current teachers of VCE EAL units 1-4, teachers of VCE English classes that comprise EAL students, as well as future teachers of VCE EAL units 1 & 2. The focus of the presentation will be on unpacking the changes that have been made to the final VCE English and EAL units 1-4 study design since the publication of the consultation draft. An overview of VCE EAL units 1-4 will also be provided with particular emphasis on units 1 & 2 which will be implemented in 2023.
Prior to the session, teachers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the new EAL study design, and in particular, units 1 & 2 (see VCAA website here), and to note down any questions they might have about this in the registration process for this event so they can be addressed during the session.
